Prayer Plant – Calathea Rufibarba ‘Bluegrass’

Description

This guy is a more unusual all-green Rufibarba variety. Calathea Bluegrass are a beautiful, furry tropical houseplant, thriving in shade and high humidity.

They’re moderately easy to care for, keep out of direct sun and don’t allow the soil to dry. Temperatures in the home should be fine year-round (above 16’C) but Calathea benefit from higher temps, and it’s a good idea to mist these from below daily as they really benefit from high humidity – a humidifer is even better! As with most houseplants, you do not want it to sit in saturated soil, so if you’re repotting, be sure to use a well-draining mix.
