If you’re after something handsome yet unkillable, you can do a lot worse than the famous ZZ plant! These guys grow from potato-like tubers that are strong enough to burst through their nursery pots! They’re incredibly hardy and tolerant of both neglect and some overwatering. You need to do a lot of things wrong to harm them.
These fellas are incredibly easy to care for, thriving in bright indirect light and soil that’s allowed to dry between waterings – though they tolerate shade and imperfect soil conditions. Temperatures in the home should be fine year round (above 16’C). As with most houseplants, you do not want it to sit in saturated soil, so if you’re repotting, be sure to use a well-draining mix
